Technologies for Ministry: BatchGeo.com
This post is part of the series 25 Technologies for Ministry»

Description: Batchgeo.com is a quick and easy tool to map multiple locations on a single map.

Ministry Application: This tool has come in handy more times than I ever expected. Here are some examples of how we have used it at Second along with some general ministry ideas:

  1. Great tool for Bible Study or Sunday School classes to develop home/small groups based on the geographic location of those in their class.
  2. Use batchgeo to map visitors or MIA’s in your church, Sunday School class, or small group ministry. Make copies and assign them to volunteers to make home visits or door step visits…leaving a gift or requesting any prayer needs.
  3. Map a list of church members and visitors from a specific zip code and then identify members living within specific subdivisions. Create a small group or Bible Study class to target just those in that subdivision.
  4. Map a segment of your membership to determine how many people are living in an area where you might open a subsequent site in your church growth strategy. This will help you identify a seed group from within your membership to help start that new site.
  5. Map your first time visitors from each weekend and plan the shortest route to return the visit.
